"I LOVE MY VALENTINE PET" CONTEST
2 GRAND PRIZE
WINNERS WILL WIN $500 EACH!
1. Submit one (1) photo of your cat or dog in JPEG format along with
a brief (two sentence maximum) story of why he/she is your special Valentine this year to secondactsfoundation@yahoo.com. You will receive a confirmation once your entry is received. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
2. Ask
everyone to cast their "vote" for your pet. Votes are cast by donation only to Second Acts. Each
$1 donation equals one vote (so $5= 5 votes, $25 = 25 votes, etc.). Votes can be sent via the links on this page (PayPal,
JustGive, Facebook). Email votes only without a donation will not be counted.
3. Each
time a vote (donation) is submitted, the name of the dog or cat must be included. Once received, we will send a confirmation.
4. No submissions
will be edited - whatever you send will be posted in the contest - so check for grammar, spelling, etc.
5. Voting
updates will be posted on the contest page each day no later than 8:00 AM PST until the contest ends.
6. One
dog and one cat with the most votes (donations) will each win $500 for his/her owner (the cash prize is derived from Second
Acts Founder/CEO Michael Brown and not from donations). In the case of a tie, the prize money will be split among the
co-winners. Upon confirmation of each winner, the prize will be issued via PayPal or check (winner's choice).
7. Both
winning entries (dog and cat) must each receive a minimum of 250 votes. So, if 10 friends each donate $25, your
pet is in the running for the prize! If the minimum is not reached in either/both contests, no prize money will be awarded.
8. The
contest begins on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 9:00 AM PST and ends on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 9:00 PM PST.
9. The
deadline to submit your dog or cat is Tuesday, February 7 at 9:00 PST. No entries will be considered after the
deadline.
